The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly strategic, data-driven, and customer-obsessed Director of Retention to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will be responsible for defining and executing comprehensive strategies that maximize customer lifetime value (LTV), reduce churn, and cultivate deep loyalty among Rugiet Health members. You will own the entire post-acquisition customer journey, leveraging data and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our members receive exceptional value and remain engaged with our brand for the long term.
If you are a seasoned retention leader with a proven track record of driving significant improvements in customer loyalty for direct-to-consumer subscription models, thrive on understanding customer behavior, and are passionate about enhancing the healthcare experience, we encourage you to apply.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of progressive experience in a retention, CRM, or lifecycle marketing role, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or senior strategic capacity for a direct-to-consumer (D2C) subscription business.
- Proven track record of significantly improving retention rates and customer lifetime value (LTV) in a growth-stage company.
- Deep expertise in customer segmentation, personalization, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Highly analytical and data-driven, with advanced proficiency in marketing analytics platforms, CRM/marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze, Iterable, Klaviyo), and Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong understanding of customer behavior, motivations, and the psychology of retention.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities, translate them into actionable plans, and execute with precision.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving startup environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience in the healthcare, telemedicine, or pharmaceutical industries.
- Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) and advanced analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, SQL).
- Experience in a DTC subscription box or recurring service model.
- Knowledge of the unique challenges and opportunities within the direct-to-consumer healthcare space.
