The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly strategic, data-driven, and results-oriented Director of Paid Media to lead and scale our paid acquisition efforts. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing comprehensive paid media strategies across all channels to drive customer acquisition, revenue growth, and achieve ambitious ROI targets. You will lead a growing team, manage substantial budgets, and be a key contributor to Rugiet Health's rapid expansion.

What You'll Do: 

  • Paid Media Strategy & Vision: Develop and own the overarching paid media strategy for Rugiet Health, identifying new opportunities, channels, and tactics to efficiently acquire high-quality customers at scale. 
  • Budget Management & Forecasting: Manage and optimize a significant paid media budget, accurately forecasting performance, and allocating spend across channels to maximize ROI and achieve aggressive growth targets. 
  • Channel Ownership & Optimization: Oversee the strategy, execution, and optimization of all paid media channels, including but not limited to:  
  • Paid Social: Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Pinterest, etc. 
  • Paid Search: Google Ads (Search, Shopping, Performance Max), Bing Ads. 
  • Display & Programmatic: Google Display Network, demand-side platforms (DSPs). 
  • Native Advertising: Taboola, Outbrain, etc. 
  • Emerging Channels: Explore and test new platforms and strategies to identify scalable opportunities. 
  • Team Leadership & Development: Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performing team of paid media specialists, fostering a culture of continuous learning, experimentation, and accountability. 
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Establish robust reporting frameworks, analyze complex performance data to extract actionable insights, and communicate results, trends, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership. 
  • A/B Testing & Experimentation: Champion a rigorous testing methodology across all channels, continuously optimizing ad copy, creative, landing pages, bidding strategies, and audience targeting to improve performance. 
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Creative, Product, Growth, Analytics, and Clinical teams to ensure a cohesive and optimized customer journey, from ad click to conversion and beyond. 
  • Landing Page Optimization: Collaborate with Product and Design teams to ensure landing page experiences are optimized for conversion from paid traffic. 
  • Attribution & Measurement: Work with the analytics team to refine attribution models and ensure accurate measurement of paid media effectiveness across the funnel. 
  • Competitive Intelligence: Monitor competitor paid media activities, identify market trends, and adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge. 
  • Compliance: Ensure all paid media campaigns adhere to relevant advertising guidelines and healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA, FTC). 

What You Bring: 

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in paid media management, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing substantial budgets for a direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand. 
  • Proven track record of scaling paid acquisition in a high-growth environment, consistently hitting or exceeding ROI/ROAS targets. 
  • Deep expertise across a wide range of paid media channels, including paid social (Meta Ads Manager a must) and paid search (Google Ads a must), with a strong understanding of performance marketing metrics. 
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with advanced proficiency in marketing analytics platforms, attribution models, and Excel/Google Sheets. 
  • Strong leadership skills with experience building, managing, and developing high-performing paid media teams.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies and results to both technical and non-technical audiences, including executive leadership. 
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify growth opportunities, translate them into actionable plans, and execute with precision. 
  • Experience optimizing landing pages for paid traffic. 
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and rapidly evolving startup environment. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative field. 

Bonus Points If You Have: 

  • Experience in the healthcare, telemedicine, or pharmaceutical industries. 
  • Experience working with customer data platforms (CDPs) or advanced audience segmentation. 
  • Familiarity with programmatic advertising platforms and strategies. 
  • Experience managing paid media for subscription-based businesses.
